NEW DELHI: Taiwanese smartphone maker Asus is all set to launch the next generation of its gaming smartphone. The company has confirmed that it will launch the Asus ROG Phone 2 in July. The company made is announcement on the Chinese social network Weibo.
Along with this, the company has also announced that it will launch the smartphone in partnership with Tencent Games in China. With this partnership the company aims to offer in-depth gaming content for better user experience. It is expected that the Asus ROG Phone 2 will come with an enhanced display. The device is said to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor paired with either 10GB or 12GB of RAM. The gaming smartphone is expected to offer 512GB of internal storage.
Rumours also suggest that the smartphone might come with improved GameCool system, better camera and bigger battery with fast charging support.
Recently, it was reported that Delhi High Court has restrained Asus from selling and advertising phones and accessories under the trademark Zen and Zenfone.
The court order came plea filed by elecare Network seeking to restrain Asus from directly or indirectly selling, offering and advertising for sale mobile phones, accessories or any other related products or any other goods under the trademark ZEN, ZENFONE or identical trademarks.
The court ordered Asus not to sell any product which is identical or deceptively similar to the trademark ZEN and ZEN Mobile.
The court said: “…the triple identity test is satisfied as the defendants (Asus) have made use of a deceptively similar/identical trademark (ZENFONE) in relation to identical goods (mobile phones) having identical trade channels.”
